About
This course, “Foundations of Educational Philosophy,” introduces educators and community members to major ideas that shape teaching, learning, and school culture. Through curated readings, guided reflection, and practical discussion, you will learn how philosophical assumptions influence curriculum choices, classroom practices, assessment, and learner wellbeing. Designed for an average level of complexity, the program demonstrates the work of The Philosophy of Education Association of Hong Kong (The PEAHK) by connecting classic theories to real educational questions in local and global contexts. By the end, participants can articulate key philosophical perspectives, analyze real scenarios using philosophical concepts, and draft a personal philosophy statement with clear implications for practice.
