About
Rethinking Classrooms: Philosophical Perspectives for Educators is an online course by the Philosophy of Education Association of Hong Kong (PEAHK) for teachers, school leaders, and teacher educators. Through accessible readings, guided reflections, and classroom-aligned discussion prompts, you will connect major educational philosophies to everyday teaching decisions. You will learn to articulate your own teaching beliefs, analyze common dilemmas (discipline, assessment, inclusion, learner agency), and design practical strategies that respect both learning goals and human development. By the end, you will produce a “Philosophy-to-Practice” action plan, a set of discussion questions for staff or communities, and a clearer framework for evaluating learning experiences—supported by PEAHK’s mission of educational advancement through philosophy.
